Our artisans select high-qualityPlatanus leaves. Through precision manual scraping, the mesophyll (green flesh) is removed millimeter by millimeter, leaving only the translucent meridians (veins). Your photo is not "on" the leaf—it ispartof the leaf.

The 60-Step Process

From selection, cleaning, fermentation, to carving and drying. This complex process ensures the leaf acts like a durable specimen, resisting decay and brittleness for decades.

The Visual Effect

The carved area is semi-transparent. Place the frame near a window or light source, and the image will glow with natural, intricate detail. It creates a stunning vintage aesthetic.
